(I don't usually ask questions like this, but) What is your favorite candy?

Asked by Jude (32204points) February 15th, 2011

You only can name one.

For me? Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are the devil.

Rocher dark chocolate candy.

Laffy taffy. I hate the candy, but I like the jokes on the wrappers.

Milky Way ‘Midnight’ – the dark chocolate version

Dark chocolate with mint:)

A Canadian brand which are even better than Reese’s.

Read the reviews. :)

Normally I would pick some type of chocolate but I’m in a Lemonhead mood right now.

Giant Smarties (I have a thing for sour).

Jude's avatar

@syz Our version of Smarties.

Just nipping out to the local shop. Back in a minute…....

Whatchamacallit : my grocery shopping nemesis, always lying in wait when I get to the checkout!

Nothing beats DeBrand Chocolates though. I can’t pick a favorite from this little chocolate shop, but the raspberry truffles are to die for. So are the caramel ones. And the toffee. And pretty much everything else. It’s by far the best chocolate I’ve ever had!

ilana's avatar

Lately it’s been hazelnut chocolate.

Why do so many people like dark chocolate? It’s awful :(

Personally, as far as chocolate goes, I love See’s “Bordeaux” and any chocolate covered peanuts and almonds (that includes candy bars that have that).

As far as fruity candy, I love SweeTarts (how dare they abolish the lemon-flavored ones, those were always my favorite) and sour gummy worms. :)

Coloma's avatar

It’s a draw between Almond Joy and Heath bars/ Skor toffee bars.

ilana's avatar

@DominicX Hehe I’m with you, I’ve really tried to like dark chocolate, it’s just so bitter…I can’t understand people who only eat dark chocolate, the sweeter and creamier, the better I say.

Red Vines.

Reese’s FTW! (Especially the new chunky ones)

aprilsimnel's avatar

Toffee, or turtles. Pretty much any chocolate/caramel combo.

Tie between Rolos, Carmello, Milky Way, Snickers, Sour Straws, Gummy Bears, Cherry Twizzlers, turtles, Sarris chocolate in general, sour apple jelly beans, Swedish fish, Sour Patch Kids, Starburst, Tropical Skittles, and Sweet Tarts.

I’m not joking either. I could not narrow it down farther…I have an extremely bad sweet tooth.

WasCy's avatar

I would never eat candy. Just to keep up my sterling track record here.

JilltheTooth's avatar

@WasCy ; You’ve been over on Jonsblond Q, haven’t you… ;-)

hahaha!

Peanut M&M’s or sixlets or Reese’s Cups. That’s it.
Oh wait, Snickers Bars. Ok, now that’s it.
Wait, plain M&M’s. Now that’s it.

JilltheTooth's avatar

I am so on my way over to your house, @chyna !

downtide's avatar

I love sour things. Anything with sherbert in. The sourer the better.

chyna's avatar

@JilltheTooth Come on over and bring Zuppy and Scooby Snacks.

JilltheTooth's avatar

Got me some snausages, too…let’s make those puppies DANCE!

cak's avatar

I love chocolate truffles. Lindt (I think) are good. I have to be willing to risk a migraine, but yum.

chyna's avatar

@Jude I’m so sorry, I just read your entire question. You said just ONE. That’s what I get when I see the word candy. I go beserk.
Ahem, to reanswer correctly: Peanut M&M’s.

deni's avatar

Oh….I didn’t read the details either…..ok…......................I will think about this at work for the next 3 hours and I should have it narrrowed down to one by next week.

WasCy's avatar

Dork chocolate.

Jude's avatar

@Wascy How about Nerds?

genkan's avatar

Maltesers. Although they can get a bit cloying after a while.

Coloma's avatar

Whoppers!

filmfann's avatar

See’s Bordeaux.

Widely available? Open wide for Chunky!

MissAusten's avatar

Oh no, dark chocolate haters! :( I’d much rather have dark chocolate than milk chocolate. I think it just comes down to taste, like the different roasts of coffee. I don’t see the appeal in fruity or sour types of candy. Unless it’s chocolate, caramel, toffee, or butterscotch, I’ll pass!

Seelix's avatar

Peanut butter cups. Reese’s are great, but I also love the President’s Choice kind. (There’s a package in my fridge right now.) I also tried the no-name ones from Wal-mart (Great Value? I think?) and they were also delicious.

Hey, does anyone remember BB Bats? Those were awesome.

Coloma's avatar

The new M&M pretzels and Coconut M&M’s are delicious!

Kardamom's avatar

Planters Peanut Bars It’s like peanut brittle only better! They stopped having these available out here on the west coast for a long time, but I just re-discovered them at CVS, which apparently is an east coast owned business.

cak's avatar

@Coloma: Coconut M&M’s? Where do you find those, I’ve never seen them before. then again, I don’t look for more candy to love!

Neizvestnaya's avatar

Sour things. Sour hard candy balls, SweeTarts, Pixie Sticks, sour Gummy candies, Warheads, Jolly Ranchers.

SamIAm's avatar

Reese’s for me too!! Oh baby. M&Ms are good too, I like sucking off the shells and taking my time to eat them. I’m not much of a candy person but there’s something about them Reese’s.

WasCy's avatar

Chipped beef on toast.

I have no idea why.

blueiiznh's avatar

Pearson’s Salted Nut Roll
Rose’s
Quality Streets
belgian chocolate

Coloma's avatar

@cak

I found them at a regular mini-mart type place a few weeks ago, I had never seen them before and then, just yesterday, I found the pretzel ones.

I think the wrapper on one of them is blue, the other I can’t recall

cak's avatar

@Coloma thanks! I’ll keep an eye out for them. I think my husband would love trying the coconut ones.
