What is a good idea for a fantasy story?

The Love Between A Mule and A Unicorn. (this is an original).

A mule was born one day, a special mule. At least, he thought so. He had high ambitions of one day finding that special other mule, to be together forever with. As the mule grew from a baby mule to an adult mule, he never found his true lovemate mule to share his life.

As the mule gave up hope, the sky parted, the sun shined and out came the most beautiful creature he had ever seen. She was stunning. He noticed that she was taller than him, but that made no difference. He noticed that she looked different. She had something growing out of the top of her head. For some reason, the mule felt extremely luck and attracted to her.

The unicorn then noticed the lonely mule. He was lying on the ground with his ears sunk down and depressed. As unicorns go, she flew in front of the mule. The mules eyes lit up and was in love. The unicorn did not stop. She flew away, never to be seen again.

The mule’s heart was broken. He tried to fly, but he had no wings. He tried to run after her, but his legs were too short. All he could do was to lift his head and give a desperate mule cry.

Morale of this story? We all live in different levels of life. Never expect something that you will never have. It happens to animals, too. It will break your heart.

A world where only twins are born and they feel and know everything the other twin is feeling or thinking at all times. So do they both go to jail when one commits a crime? Or is this world pretty crime free because one always gets convinced by the good one not to do it because they get pinned as for the crime as well?
Some scientist has made a brain block that helps some crimminals from alerting their twin of the crimminal offense.
Will most good twins turn in their twin when they are in a commission of a crime.
So, would it be a curse or a blessing to be born a twin in this world?

A man picks up his dirty dishes from the coffee table, rinses them and then (hold on to your hats ladies) he puts them in the dishwasher!

Then he goes back over to the couch, gives his lady a soft romantic kiss and then asks, “Would it be OK, if I did the laundry today? And then while the machine’s running, maybe I’ll come and sit next to you (he’s un-buttoning his shirt while he’s saying this) and give you a foot massage.” He smells of cedar and orange blossoms (and not dirty socks).

His lady sighs and starts to swoon. The man walks over to the refrigerator and pulls out a bottle of champagne (not Budweiser) pops the top and carries two flutes over to his lady. He pours the champagne as it accidentally overflows onto his chest. He entertwines his wrist with his lady’s and they both sip the champagne. He looks into her eyes and softly says, “I’ve got a vegetarian lasagna in the oven.” Then he sweeps his finger softly across her lip, takes her face into his hand and leans over to kiss her, oh so gently.

Then he says, “Honey, there’s something I have to tell you. It’s something that I’ve been wanting to tell you for a long time, but haven’t gotten up the courage until now. You know how I feel about your mother, well I’ve invited her to spend the month with us.” The lady smiles, takes the man’s hand to her heart and starts to weep, gently. She says, “You really are the man of my dreams, and the fact that you look like a cross between Alan Rickman and Charles Shaugnessy ain’t bad news either!”

Project any other story into a fantasy setting. Use TvTropes (but carefully!) to get an idea for what to find there. Cheap, easy fantasy.
Another possibility is to craft an adventure in an Urban or Low Fantasy setting (or if you’re daring, both). You ought to be able to use the standard adventure model. You could set it in a sprawling metropolis, and not have to worry too much about keeping the characters balanced.

Thankyou for all the answers. Um on the unicorn and mule idea, I doubt I will be able to turn that in. So if I can get something like human or gods. I’ll think of something but the answers were good. Keep em coming! ;)
