What is intuition mean?

I am wary of my intuition, because I know from past experience it’s led me wrong. Having said that, there have been a few times I’ve had hunches about certain things that have proved invaluable. For example, I once bought a used car on a hunch that it was a good one and would last without breaking down. I was right.

I have an acute intuition that generally steers me in the right direction. When I’ve ignored it, I’ve typically regretted it.

I usually rely on the facts, but when my intuition kicks in I pay attention. It’s usually dead on.

I’ve become really appreciative of my intuition. It is right 95% of the time. Any time I’ve pooh poohed it I’ve gotten into trouble.

I’m not sure of the difference between intuition and ego-based thoughts, so I tend to disregard it if it’s to do with something regarding my own self-interest. I don’t know how to trust it.

The only time I knew intuition for what it was and believed it was in December ‘99. After she came home from church one Sunday, my surrogate mom was changing to her casual clothes. I offered to help her cook dinner and was declined. There was a brief pause, then she said, “I’m so tired.” Ad in that moment I heard my intuition say She’s going to be dead by May. It stopped me in my tracks because I knew it was a fact, as if someone said, “The speed of light is 186,000 miles per second.” I’ll never forget that feeling. It was only later when I started freaking out. A couple of weeks after that, she was diagnosed with stage IV ovarian cancer and indeed died the following May.

Nope. I ‘wing it’ a lot, but that’s about three metaphorical organs over.

I listen to it as it has been right in the past butI don’t rely on it.

Everytime I have ignored it has been regrettable.

I read many years ago that the more technology we use, the more urban we are, the more we don’t trust our intuition. It was an article primarily to teach avoiding rape and said women should trust their guts more. I know I was nice to creeps when I was younger because we’re supposed to be nice to everyone. I suppose I enabled creepdom.
