What is the deffinition of a man?

What characteristics do you guys think define a man? For me a man is kind, courteous, loyal, honest, and sticks to their word.

Honesty, courage, morality, ethics, emotional and mental solvency.

Just to clarify, those who don’t qualify as “men” would be what?
I think the definition for a “good man” is the same as the definition for a “good woman” A person who is fair and compassionate and polite and works hard and does the best he or she can under the circumstances and tries to help those who are less fortunate (people and creatures).
A human that has been gendered as a man, must fit into gender roles, may not like said gender roles.
I booked a table for valentines, for myself & a friend.. I found out to late that she wasn’t keen on snooker… :-/

Well actually I have to define it for myself. My dad’s view is something different, like he thinks men should be able to fix cars, while women are supposed to just drive them (sexist as you can see). For me, the answer to this question is constantly changing as life unfolds; as time goes on I will find more and more things that I must do to maintain my integrity as a “man,” by my own standards. I don’t think there are clear cut answers, everybody will tell you something different. I will chime in again but now I have to shut down my computer.

Well, I was TOTALLY the man yesterday! I put aside my jayjay and breasts, strapped on the man package and got to work. I purchased a new dryer, brought it home, and hooked the entire thing up myself!
I grunted while using my tools and cursed like a man when I scraped my knuckle. I was so proud of my manpower, I even scratched myself and peed outside. It was a great day!

@6rant6 Maybe a little bit of one… Some of the tools are still sitting out, my dirty towel is draped over the lawnmower, and there are beer cans everywhere. Do I pass the test?
An adult male member of the species Homo sapiens.
Everything else (even chromosomes) is optional – whatever qualities you can think of, you’ll find some men that don’t posess it and some women who do.
A social construct composed from some combination of the following: burliness, stoicism, handiness, and the ability to make money or otherwise provide.
If we’re talking about a real man, then the definition would also include the ability to take a punch, some concept of chivalry, and powerful love-making capabilities.

A man/woman is someone that is teachable.
