explain a female wet dream? Do u have to change ur underwear in the morning lime we do?
I think there’s a misunderstanding about what a wet dream is here. Unless there’s some bizarre female ejaculation component to this that I’m not aware of, then women can’t have them.
A wet dream is natures way of keeping a man’s sperm “fresh.” If a man has not ejaculated in a month or so, it will happen in the middle of the night while sleeping so that he doesn’t have “old” sperm in his system. It’s not really about having erotic dreams, which I’m sure many women do have (and often about myself—ok, probably not about myself :P). It’s more about keeping a man with a constant stock of virile sperm so that he can pass on his DNA whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Gorillapaws, I learned that as well in Health class in high school but I don’t think it’s entirely correct. I have had wet dreams the night after I ejaculated, or gone weeks without either.
so if a guy has a wet dream its like body telling him he better stay getting busy. LOL
wet dreams? Ohhhhh yeah ;)
Another common theory is that wet dreams are the way the body disposes of “built-up” semen. However, such a theory is unclear as studies have shown that there was no significant difference observed in wet dream frequency between men who ejaculated frequently while awake and those who never did.
Furthermore, according to the Singapore Science Centre, sperm cells “degenerate and are reabsorbed (broken down and absorbed by the body) in the seminiferous tubules if they are not ejaculated.”
Ive never had a wet dream in my life. Maybe i just beat it to often? lol Ah well i can definitely go without ever having one.
@echo-how do you go weeks without masturbating????
Never had one either. Is there a way to make it so I do? Nothing better than a good erotic dream.
@Gorillapaws: Are you saying that you’re unaware if female ejaculation exists, or if someone who is female can ejaculate in their sleep? As far as I know, female ejaculation does sort of exist (for some people), but I haven’t heard of it happening in sleep.
But I would say that it is probably possible for a woman to wake up a little wet. Not quite the same as an actual wet dream with full ejaculation during sleep, just a little moisture.
@EmilyNathon, Yeah, basically the latter. I doubt a female could ejaculate in her sleep in the same manner that a male would during a wet dream (where he need not even have an erection), unless there’s some very bizarre/rare phenomena that I am unaware of. I do realize that some women are capable of ejaculating, but it is my understanding that this only occurs during intense sexual stimulation and not involuntarily in their sleep.
What you’re describing sounds like normal arousal from an erotic dream which is different (at least in my understanding) from a wet dream—I don’t think anyone doubts that women can have erotic dreams.
Gotcha. We’re on the same page.
If you mean, have an erotic dream, have an in-dream orgasm, and wake up wet, than yes. If you mean have a female-ejactulation wet-dream, I don’t know.
I can say I have never had one. I don’t think I’ve ever had a sleeping orgasm either. Damp panties after a good dream? Certainly.
gorillapaws, emily, yes, women/girls can and do have wet dreams, if we define a wet dream as achieving an orgasm while sleeping. whether or not it actually soaks the sheets depends on the woman/girl, of course.
I think I can clear a little of this up, at least about women (as I am one myself). Women do, of course, have erotic dreams, and about 37% of women orgasm during or at the end of these dreams. Many women report that the orgasm wakes them up (and it is absolutely the most AWESOME way to wake up). I myself have wet dreams (that is, dreams where I have an orgasm) around once every other month (making myself one of the rare 10% of women who have them more than five times per year). Sometimes these dreams involve erotic aspects, but sometimes not. And sometimes the orgasm wakes me up (at which point I find that if I masturbate I can quickly have one or more subsequent orgasms), but more often, I find myself having several orgasms during the dream, and then waking up shortly after the last one. I had one last night during which I had at least eight orgasms, and I woke up several “minutes” (in dream-time, which is not at all the same as real time) after the last one. And as for the dreams being wet, many women report extra vaginal discharge on their panties when they awaken. Most women do not ejaculate during sex. The ones who do have taught themselves very carefully how to apply downward muscle pressure as they approach orgasm. It feels like you are about to pee, but instead of peeing, when you orgasm, fluid gushes out of glands near your clitoris (this is what I was told by a gal friend who does ejaculate—only occasionally, and only with manual stimulation—that is, her or her partners hands stimulating the clitoris forcefully). Because of the physical stimulation necessary for ejaculation in women, it is unlikely that a woman would ejaculate during a wet dream (unless her partner heard her moaning in her sleep and decided to stimulate her—that happened to me once and I woke up on an orgasm. Also an awesome way to wake up).
