Split AutoCAD files up by tab?

Asked by bpeoples (2551points) April 15th, 2008

For various reasons, we work in single files with multiple tabs, that is, one file will have 30–40 sheet tabs with each sheet on that. For an archive set, our client would like these split into individual files. The modelspace will stay the same per each, but each file will only have one layout tab.

Does anyone know of a method or program to do this? It looks sort-of possible from within AutoCAD’s commands, but I couldn’t find anything about it searching around.

FWIW, we’re running Architecture 2008, and I have 2009 sitting in a box somewhere around.
