What should I get my 16 year old friend for her birthday?

So my friend’s 16th birthday is coming up soon and I need ideas about what to get her OR make for her. We used to date for about a year and in that time I bought her a necklace and a bunch of drawing stuff (she’s really into drawing). For a while I thought about sewing her a kimono (She likes anime and Japanese culture) but quickly realized my sewing skills were lacking. I realize this is a hard question to answer because you don’t know her, but I’m just really out of ideas, any help?

Yeah, but I’ve decided to put that aside completely and wait for it to go away :P
How much do you want to spend?
Anywhere between 10–30 dollars, ether for buying or supplies to make her gift
Go get as many free samples of stuff from Sephora and Ulta, same thing with dept. store fragrance counters. Buy a small bag of candies from one of those mall candy stores that have bins to choose from. Buy two movie tickets and put all the stuff in a pretty fabric drawstring bag for her.
Thats actually a really good idea… thats definitely going on the list of possibilities thank you!
If you go to a craft supply store like Michaels, Hobby Lobby, that type of thing, even .99cent Stores then you can find deocrative gift bags, some of them very pretty fabrics.
What about getting her music or a book about anime?
Yeah I defiantly will be headed to Michaels to get a bag and decorate it. Yeah I might get her something to do with anime, only problem is its hard to tell what kind of anime shows and stuff she likes and if I was to start asking she’d get suspicious lol
Nail polish is always an okay bet, coming from a 16 year old girl. But really, put some real thought into this present. Think about HER SPECIFICALLY, not just her as a 16 year old girl. What kind of music does she like? What kind of things does she talk about? Do you have inside jokes? If you have mutual friends, ask them if they want to chip in and get her something she really wants, but is maybe a little too expensive for just you.
