What to ask an elementary school teacher about yourself?
You’re visiting an elementary school teacher who knew you well.
Your parents have little idea about what you were like around that age, and so do you.
What kind of things could you ask her in order to understand your young self more?
I have some ideas about what to ask, but a little help brainstorming would be wonderful.
What would YOU like to ask your elementary school teacher?
Examples:
– Were you easy to make friends with?
– Did you smile a lot?
– What words did you use often?
– What kind of questions did you ask?
– What things were you unusually interested in?
– Did you like attention?
– Were you a bully?

Did I prefer the company of boys to girls, or vice versa?
Did I prefer to stay with adults rather than play with other children?
Given how many years ago I was in elementary school and the age my teachers were then, I’d say, “I’m amazed you’re still alive” and “Do you remember me at all?”
If that was a ‘Yes’ – I’d then ask:
“Was I a particularly bright child?”
I’ve been told I was always a good student, but I don’t remember this.
“How well did I interact with other children?”
I have a vague recollection of being sent to a school counselor for not getting along with other children, but have no idea why.
and “How was my mother in your dealings with her?”
She became unbearable toward me and others starting when I was about 14, but I suspect it started much earlier than that.
Was I as shy and quiet as I am told I was?
“When did you first become aware that you were in the presence of greatness?”
I would ask my 1st grade teacher “Are you still pinching the shit out of your students, or did you just despise only me?”
Was I as serious a child as I think I was?
How many friends did I have?
Did I visible show how terrified I was of Wesley L. and Jay E.?
What sort of stories did I write? I recall writing a lot, but don’t remember the subject matter.
Oh I have to add for the other elementary school teachers..
-Did you really not see the kids who made my existence and attendace in school hard or were you just ignoring me?
