Anyone else addicted to "Deadliest Catch"?

I am captivated by crab fishing. I don’t know why. Maybe it is the Bon Jovi song.

It’s funny you mention this because I was just wondering about this show. I’m obsessed with Cash Cab and watch it whenever I can. As you may know, it comes on right before Deadliest Catch. It was just today that I wondered, what is up with that Deadliest Catch show, as in, why is it so popular? I’ve never given it a real chance because it just seemed like a soap opera on a fishing boat. Is it good (dumb question for you)? Why should I give it a chance?

I haven’t seen the show, but years ago I watched an awesome documentary of crab fishing out of Dutch Harbor. Talk about la vida loca.

I think it’s something that crosses many a young guy’s mind. Especially in the Pac NW. I remember guy’s who’d been telling me about the money you can make, the nonstop work, and the need to watch your back.

It’s a fascinating show and I like it not just for the crab fishing. There are a myriad of enjoyable aspects to it from the human relationships to being a refreshing change from some of the bizarre reality shows that currently enjoy airtime.

Yeah, I’m hooked. I root for Northwestern and Time Bandit.

Northwestern fan myself. Not sure why. :-)

Those guys truly earn their pay, but I can’t imagine the worry it puts their family through!

The money’s great because it’s so inherently dangerous. I really respect their courage.
