When you are just coming back to life in the morning what is your favorite thing to see/hear? The bright sun, the alarm ringing, or your baby giggling. It could be anything. I think my favorite thing to wake up to is my music playing and the warm sunshine shining in my window.

The sunrise.
If it is already sunny, I feel like I’ve wasted time.
If it is still dark, I hope I can fall back to sleep.
My dog looking at me and me looking at her. Makes me smile every morning.

dawning light on a warm morning with the sound of the nearby surf.
Dark quiet room with not rush to actually get up. No sounds or distractions, just peaceful quiet for a couple of minutes before getting out of bed.
Rain
The smell of bacon cooking
Buttered toast is good, too
Surf sounds (when I’m not living inland)
Sailboat halyards rattling against the mast in a breeze, with the boat moored outside
Somebody else has made the coffee. My favorite is dark and quiet and I roll over and go back to sleep.
the knowledge that I dont have to get up and go somewhere.
Well…I usually wake up to my cat’s butt in my face…so what I like waking up to is my cat in a different part of the house.
the sound of my kids trying to be quiet so they don’t wake me so thoughtful
the warmth of the rising sun warming my skin slowly
It’s usually the sun that wakes me up, or else the radio.
Breakfast would be a nice wake-up smell.
The dead silence, cool (but not cold!) air, and earthy smells of a camping trip.
Well-chosen classical (or at least instrumental) music. Something that starts soft and sweet and builds to a warm crescendo.
@Nullo Oh yeah, the smells and sounds of a camping trip.
why didn’t I think of that
I like to wake up to a quiet room. It has to be a perfect temperature, roommate can’t be home, the alarm can’t be going, and the girls in the dorm next door can’t be playing their awful music. But of course, that does not happen. Hahaha.
Being kissed….ahh..Love it.
Rolling over and feeling someone’s morning wood :)
Unless they weren’t there when I went to sleep.
@xjustxxclaudiax Kissing’s good too, but there’s that gross morning breath to worry about! :)
My big pink fwuffy teddy bea…..scratches record…... err, yeah a cuddle from the missus :¬)
The knowledge that I get to go to work an do my part to contribute the best I could for another day. When that alarm goes off at 4:45 AM, I just right out of bed and can’t wait to get to work. Everyday I go in thinking “Man, I hope this work day goes for at least 12 hours.” It’s those days you know you’ve really done something to help keep this thing here moving.
Sunshine.
The sound of the coffee maker and the smell of brewing coffee (when I remember to set the timer).
My cats – one on the bed, one on the chair – blinking at me (but not yet yelling for food).
Snow falling to the ground
A blanket (1 ft.) of snow on the ground
An overcast day
When my family is visiting, and we all wind up in the same room, and my brother wakes me up by beating me with a towel (good times)
