Should I consider getting Sprint cell phone service?
I am looking at getting a new cell phone service provider. I have T-mobile but it doesn’t always work in my home. I have a family and will have 4 cell phones on the plan. I am considering Sprint because I can get 1400 minutes, unlimited text and web, and unlimited cell to cell minutes for about $145. Is this a good deal? I am concerned with the quality of service that Sprint provides. Has anyone had Sprint and been totally satisfied or have you had a lot of problems and switched plans? What do you recommend?

Cell phone signal quality all depends on where you live, and how many towers each cell company have in your area. Some areas have lots of ATT, but no Verison. Others no ATT, and good T-Mobile signal.
When I had Sprint, my service was always spotty and I had to walk out of my house to even talk on the phone :/ I ended up switching to Wal-Mart’s Straight Talk plan, in which for $45 every month, I get unlimited talk, text, and web. It’s the best way to save money and I always have service.
I agree you need to find out how strong their coverage is and if it is where you need it. For example, T-Mobile works a treat everywhere I will be, and the fact when my old carrier got sold off, T-Mobile was one carrier that their sim card would slip into my existing handset. I still got a free phone but I knew it was going to be a painful learning curve figuring that one out.
I would give second thoughts before I abandoned T-Mobile. Have you called to talk to a specialist at T-Mobile with your reception problems? Each time I have called, they have gone so far as to build a tower close to my home, in order to improve the cellphone service.
I have never had Sprint. That price seems to be very expensive to me.
Call T-Mobile. I will be totally surprised if they do not improve your cellphone service. T-Mobile was awarded No. 1 in customer satisfication and I second this award. It’s true.
I have been with T-Mobile for twelve years.
@KatetheGreat dang that IS a good deal. If I could have kept my old phone that plan would have been the one to get. I don’t need the web or text really on my phone, but that is a reasonable plan.
Well with the Straight Talk plan, you can still keep your phone number, and there are some great phones that you can buy to go with the plan. And For $30 you get 1000 minutes of talk, 1000 texts, and a little bit of data time.
If you’re still under contract with T-Mobile, email them at moresignal@t-mobile.com (or call customer loyalty directly at 877–724-4659, the regular CS centers don’t have much information on this and are no help) about your problems getting reception at home. They have a new signal booster they’re sending out for free (Cel-Fi… www.cel-fi.com) that you can get.
I was going to switch and came across that email address and was eligible. Saved me money and it actually works.
