I miss the crazy flamewars from the old USENET days, and all the bad spelling and bizarre grammar:

Oh I think there are some fuckers users on here who would positively drool at such a prospect. I on the other hand find the notion laughably ridiculous. Not my bag baby ;¬}
There’s a reason we’re a t Fluther rather than so many other question sites.
There are plenty of places on the internet where that still exists. Fluther is a haven from such atrocities. A good portion of the jellies here appreciate that Fluther does not tolerate such nonsense.
@bobbinhood Well said. I use Fluther specifically because of the logic and civility of Jellies on the whole. If you want a flame war, I would appreciate if you take is somewhere else.
That has been tried here in one question with mixed success. I wasn’t crazy about it.
I think anybody more antisocial than me wouldn’t last long here on Fluther. Then again, even I prefer something a little classier even when I go as hominem. I mean, it’s one thing to deconstruct a person, but something else for the entirety of your rebuttal to be, “U R a shit-wit fucking moron who likes to blow goats and gargle their cum!!!111”.
That reminds me; another of my favorite sites will rip you to shreds in an antisocial manner for bad spelling or grammar. They prove that out is possible to flame intelligently. However,i don’t think that did had any place here; the culture is too different.
If you are longing for the bad old days, go on numerous other Q&A sites where that is not prevented.

@markferg One thing I love about not only being in manufacturing where it’s kind of a locker room environment, but I am also very good at what I do is that I can actually get away with that behavior :D

I think if you really want this thread to be a shrine to asinine flamewars, you need an argument. Maybe you could say something bad about a celebrity, then I’ll say how they’re a person too and what gives you the right to judge, then you’ll tell me to get off the forum if I’m going to be like that, and then I call you a Nazi.
