Anyone else find these commercials disturbing?
These Cadbury Cream Egg commercials that are playing on TV are really fucked up….. Here are some… Each commercial the eggs find different ways to “kill” themselves… they “act” and make noises like they are trying to decide the best course of action

Hmmm, they are odd for sure and the theme imo insensitive. I don’t find them amusing. Not sure what they were thinking of really.
No, they don’t bother me, but they’re not that funny either.
They are cleverly made, but I don’t understand the message. Eat quickly because they won’t last? Ways to make the chocolate eggs into goo? (That’d be fun>) Or are they suggestions for what you can do to have fun eating them? (I wouldn’t think so, but what I see on video games, maybe so?) They’re trying to do something like ‘get Kenny’ or that thing that get’s destroyed and the tag line is always a pitiful “Oh No!”
These do not appear to be made by the Cadbury company. They are not what I would call commercials. They come from the website cremeegg.com.
Edit:
Actually, I am wrong. It is a Cadbury site and there is some sort of game for the eggs to “get their goo out.” I don’t get it.
Well, I don’t find them funny, and I agree with you, @coffeenut that they are a bit disturbing. I don’t really know how this works as a marketing strategy. However, the first time I saw it I was wondering, how on earth are these eggs able to do all of these things without hands?! But again, not that funny/ good of a marketing scheme, imo.

Not as much as this gem from Kay Jewelers. No pun intended.
I found those commercials to be rather funny..although that last one was fucked up Rube Goldbergian suicide…
@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard That commercial gives me the jibblies. The first half of this commercial could have easily been an ADT ad. But it proves that sounding like Nicholas Cage and buying expensive things will make women want you.
They got your attentions and that is what they wanted, right?
NO.
FYI, cream eggs are not real people they are mainly Sugar, Milk & Cocoa.
This line of advertising is a follow on from the ‘How do you eat yours’ then the ‘How do you do yours’ line of advertising. Its symbolic of the way they are eaten and I guess to be eaten is symbolic of the comical death which you clearly abhor.
If you are alive today & weaned, it is because you have feasted on death, thats fact.
Perhaps I’m just being sensitve (very possible). I had been reading something about suicide but also, watching things smashing down and crushing albeit chocolate eggs, just feels wrong at the moment (think earthquakes). I just don’t see the humour but I do grant you this is most likely due to my frame of mind than anything else. It touched a nerve.
I like it like that. There’s no good without goo. And nothing’s pokin’ at ya’ on a carpet of horse shit..
I like the adverts. They’re silly and fun (and the message is blindingly obvious)
Not me, just a slice of throwaway nonsense as far as I can tell. Nowt to be concerned with at all.
I think they’re sort of funny and amusing, and a little bit annoying, but I find it more funny and bemusing that some people find them disturbing or confusing.
I find THIS commercial disturbing!
Not as disturbing as this one for the Ford Ka
@flutherother lol…. that’s fucked up…..ok, um I really really dislike Ford now… I thought the cat was going to shit in the car…lol that would have been better
