Why do videos sent from my iphone not work sometimes?

i can send a video to a phone and it works no problem, then ill send another one 5 min later and they say its just a black screen with sound. why!? theyre about 30–40 sec long and ive sent longer so length can’t be the issue. could it be the persons phone doesnt have enough space?

Are you referring to videos shot by you?

If it’s something you found on YouTube or another website, it may be that it was in a file format incompatible with the othet person’s phone.
