Meaningless or not, if you have actively hunted an award here and finally received it, how did you feel?
I know the awards are pretty much meaningless, and it’s just a bit of fun like the lurve scores, but do you actually take pleasure in receiving certain awards?
If you are one of the jellies that has purposely hunted an award, and you finally achieved it, did it make you smile? Did it make you do a little happy dance in your chair? Did you feel even a little bit of pride when you got it?

Just relief.
I can get back to my work now.
It was bothering me.
I think a few of us have obsession issues… lol. Or perhaps calling it “tenacity” sounds less psychotic. =0)
I smiled, did a happy dance and was proud. I’m trying not to get obsessed with Robot Crush now!
Oh jeepers, I don’t even want to think about that one right now. Just wandering around in the frizzer all day yesterday almost made my head asplode.
I don’t seek them out, but if I get one I try to figure out how. Only figured out one so far, I have theories based on a couple of others, but I like being surprised…
I don’t even know for a long time, usually. Maybe once every few months I’ll look to see what’s there, but I have no idea how I got the ones I got, unless it says. So it seems very random to me. Once I had a reward and they took it away. They said it had been a mistake to reward me it. Then, later on. It reappeared. Which may also have been a mistake.
I don’t intentionally seek out awards, but when I receive one it makes me smile – a sense of achievement I suppose
Nope. I don’t even pay attention.
Once in a great while I’ll notice I have received some random award, I rarely even look it up. I’m just here to play, learn and share. :-)
I think after I reach 10,000 lurve points, I’m gonna go eat a steak.
Rare – filet. and when the guy comes by with the table leg filled with pepper, I say “keep it comin’, buddy!”
They seem pretty random to me. The 90 days in a row, for instance.
I guess I don’t pay a lot of attention, until it’s mentioned. Like the Cake in the Frizzer award. After it was mentioned, I decided to try to get the award. I’ve never sought other awards on here, though.
I’ve read the awards, think they are funny and cute, but it’s not why I am here. I laughed when I got the Frizzer one. That was when I was still new to Fluther, when the frizzer was mentioned. I think that’s why I did want that award.
I wanted the Perfecto_Fish award… I coveted someone else who kept getting it. Now I know how they got it and I have one too and I am over that obsession. All good. Not chasing an award this week. Give me a while though…. that green glint will appear in my eye and I will have to hunt down another.
@Seelix From what I understand, Robot Crush is one of the ones that is not currently available for the getting.
@MyNewtBoobs There’s awards that can’t be gotten? What is this!?!
@MyNewtBoobs – Really? I guess that would explain why only 47 people have it. So I guess I’ve gotten all I can, at least until I get lucky enough for Feeding Frenzy.
Is the Robot Crush no longer obtainable? Augie??
@Seelix : Nowadays, the awards only show up in the community feed, nowhere else. You might have gotten some that you missed if you weren’t watching at the time.
@JilltheTooth – Both my Perfecto-Fish and my Cake in the Frizzer showed up on my awards page right after I got them. Maybe there’s an exception for the silver ones?
@Seelix Not neccessarily- I received the Pilgrim award, but it doesn’t show up that I have it.
@Seelix : You must be special well, I already knew that, when I got a Perfecto-Fish it showed up in the feed, but not my own list…
@JilltheTooth – My first Perfecto-Fish was just like yours. I thought maybe I’d try again, so I did, and now it shows up on my award page. This was just the other day (when I got the Frizzer) so maybe if you ladies try again, it’ll show up?
I’m still waiting to get the half dozen or so I know I’ve earned. Given that, seems slightly pointless to pursue other ones that might not be awarded anyway.
I’ve never actively sought any of the awards. I’ve hated the frustration involved in not knowing WHY I’ve been awarded some of the secret (or mystery) ones.
So I’ve just stopped paying attention to them altogether as I think it’s pretty pointless to get awards for some mysterious and dubious “accomplishment”.
If you don’t even know what you did to get it (and they delete any Qs that are posted asking why) how is that any kind of accomplishment?
It’s a coincidence pure and simple, not any type of accomplishment that I can see.
But if others enjoy them, that’s fine by me. All of these awards don’t really impact my life in any significant way. And the whole secrecy thing is kind of pointless IMHO.
