Why won't my Droid 2 update apps?

Hi! I went into the market this morning and saw 11 updates available. I hooked up to my WiFi and had at it. One at a time the updates failed (after apparently pulling down the entire app update – 16 MB for Angry Birds), but then the “un-updated” app showed as updated in the market. I know the updates didn’t take place (no St. Patty’s day levels on Angry Birds Seasons!).
I went into the application manager, cleared my app data and rebooted the phone (recommended previously and usually works). Still no good. Any idea what is going on?

It’s not updating those apps at all, you see. Your droid has become sentient and is currently using the presumed “update of apps” to actually update itself to become more powerful.
Run. For the love of all that’s holy, grab your loved ones and run.
Or check and make sure you’ve got enough room on the phone for it to install. Sometimes installation takes more available space than it’ll need to actually store the app. You know, just in case that “sentient” thing isn’t the problem.
I’d run anyhow, just to be on the safe side.
I ran… then I realized I had forgotten my phone… Had to come back. Embarrassing.
Plenty of room on the card and internally. I am only using around 1.5 GB on each.
Sentient, then.
Or maybe your wifi connection’s unstable and the download is getting garbled, so it can’t install properly? Since it downloaded, the app store thinks it went okay.
Mine’s just a Droid (not the Droid2) and today’s round of updates went fine. Though I don’t have Angry Birds: Seasons…
Season’s is fun! Worth a shot!
Will a droid default to it’s standard data plan if the WiFi craps out?
@metadog only if you have a usable 4G or 3G connection at the time.
This is not the Droid 2 you are looking for…
