Is it true in Tennessee a car buyer does not have 3 days to change his mind?

Asked by JLeslie (65743points) March 12th, 2011

I know in some states there is a 3 days cooling off period, but from what I understand it is not true in all states. I am specifically in need of information for Tennessee.

There is not a 3 day cooling off period in Tennessee.

As it states on the Tennessee State website, buyer’s remorse only covers solicitation. There is no right to cancel a contract.

Yes, and each contract is required to state in large letters there is no cooling off period.

It is also true in California.

I believe this law only pertains to new home mortgages and not automobiles.
