What is the best airport simulation game for the PC?

I’m looking for a game that most closely resembles what people have to do in order to board a plane. Is there a game where I can control a person through an airport and it’ll even show the inside of the plane when that person boards and show the person getting off at the other end? I know this sounds a little crazy, but I just have a fascination with airports.

Then you could see what happens if you run through the metal detector with a hunk of steel, and maybe see how far you could get while running through the terminal.
