Beau line on thumb nail - what does this mean?

Are you sure it is a Beau’s line? The reason I ask is that I just wikipedia’d them, and saw a picture, and it doesn’t seem to be the kind of thing you would just suddenly notice one day. Is it just a variation in the color of the nail, or is it a different texture, too?

Either way I feel certain that it’s nothing to worry about. You post so many questions worrying about health things! I’m not criticizing, I just feel bad for you – relax a little!

Have you had a manicure recently? Worn artificial nails or had your nails gelled?

Sometimes people get lines on their nails from an injury. It might have been something you didn’t even notice, and it could have happened weeks ago. I wouldn’t assume it’s anything, but if you’re really worried, maybe you can go to a clinic or doctor.
