Would you trade 40yr in captivity for freedom with an implant?
If you were sentenced to 40yrs in prison even if by mistake and you were given a choice, get an implant that if you thought or tried to do anything sexual or violent or thought to steal anything you would experience a throbbing migraine, the feeling that you want to hurl, and your throat would close up making it hard to breath, and the affects would last around 10 minutes each time it triggered, or would you not take the implant and do the time unaltered? Would the fact that the implant would be placed in the neck deep enough so you could not just cut or dig it out and it had to be deactivated by a special device only the authorities had, trying to remove it with out deactivation would cause it to blow taking out major arteries killing you, but if you took the implant you could be free in 2 weeks time?

Where do you think of these things?
Take the implant. Freedom is precious. But damn! no sex, now that sucks I mean that’s a bummer. And what @janbb said:p
Taking the implant would not be freedom if it was reacting to my thoughts. I may have many criminal thoughts throughout the day, I just don’t act on them. If I were punished for thinking of sex, I’d be in a constant state of pain.
It occurs to me that imprisonment is punishment for a deed, not thoughts. An implant would be continually punishing me for potential crimes, not the crime I committed.
Not with these parameters.
Implant, of course. Or is the prison solitary confinement? I’ll do the prison thing if a tv and any books you want are supplied. No tricks now, NOBODY AT ALL is allowed to ‘visit’.
If I took the implant, I’d be in horrible pain about 100 per cent of the time, so what’s the point?
If thinking of violence and sex caused discomfort eventually one would avoid thinking of them all together.
