What do you daydream about?
More often than not, I am daydreaming about something or another. But lately I have been daydreaming about how to pull off different crimes. Like stealing cars, all the books in a classroom, the fire and burglar alarms. Not just stealing, sometimes I wonder how to pull off the perfect murder.
Do you have things that you often daydream about? Perhaps a story you are concocting in your head like I used to? Do tell!

Same as everyone else, winning the lottery so I can kick this popcorn stand & retire in the country somewhere :-/
Camping in the middle of the summer in Utah right next to the Colorado river surrounded by red rocks and mesas…...I had this euphoric experience last summer doing so and it is literally all I think about now. I can’t tell you what exactly was so special about it, aside from the obvious, but my mind wanders there alllllll the time.
Living in a house by the ocean. The house has a study and I have a desk by the window where I can write. Sometimes I walk along the beach. There is nobody else there, just me and my dog and the waves.
Finding a contractor to work on my house that I can afford, that knows old houses. I envision my house totally renovated, so I can sell it.
I can so relate Bill. Hopefully my timber floors will be fitted over the next month. Only been living with concrete floors for 10 years.
Having much more freetime (while making the same amount of money).
Living in a little villa in Italy.
Owning a comic book store.
One of these needs to happen or I’ll be very disappointed in my daydreams. ;^)
Bouncy castles!! Gotta love em.
Business ideas, conversations I’ve had or will have, book ideas, and how to plan the perfect murder. ;)
Sex, travel, violence, naps, a good cup of tea, walking barefoot on a beach, getting enough oxygen to my eyes, snuggles with my kitties.
Whenever I find myself sitting at my checkout during a lull in the store, my minds eye drifts off to my honey, wonder what he’s doing at home, is he out in the garden throwing a ball for Jade? is he watching tv with one eye on the clock so he can (as he always does every night I’m at work) pop the kettle on so i have a lovely warm cuppa waiting for me to get home? I’ve even gotten through some pretty horrible shifts at work just by concentrating on getting home to hubby and how he’ll smile his beautiful smile, hug me and how that’ll make it all better, just like that. I’ve told him that if he loves me he’d better make sure that I go first because without him my life would shut down. mushy I know, but tis true all the same.
Being home. And flying ships.
Lines of prose that I will someday include in my version of The Great American Novel
Being Batman
Firing an M4 at evil doers.
Iceskating,flying airplanes and sprinting.:)
@bunnygrl your daydream used to be my daydream but has become my reality now.
I now daydream about the used to be…
P.S. I don’t think it’s mushy at all.
Having a particle gun mounted under the hood of my SUV to clear the road of texters and any other slow movers. Damn what I would give for one of those!
Even on fluther, it’s too NSFW to describe!
Me getting a job and supporting my sisters…..I imagine myself working at a book store and having a huge collection of books…
..I also day dream about being invisible or having the ability to stop time so I could steal stuff…(in reality, I do none of these things..)
A naked Isla Fisher.
No, it’s not a naked picture of her.
I daydream about fantasy. Wizards, dragons, literature, sci-fi, D&D and similar role-playing games; you name it, I daydream about it. Most of the time when I’m not paying attention in class it’s because I’m working on a D&D campaign.
hmm, I daydream of running in a sunny field in the middle of nowhere,to get away from it all.
Also, sometimes of meeting and playing and stroking and pampering my cat again….
My boyfriend and things I wish would happen in my life mainly!
I often have what some might call unhealthy thoughts and scenarios playing out in my head, like killing people or setting churches on fire. But eh wtv, it’s not anything I’d ever actually do. A lot of it is usually outrageous and ridiculous anyways, sometimes I become something supernatural and destroy the entirety of existence.
Good stuff too though, sometimes like, uh…’‘trails off’’
Chores, budgeting, what I’ll do and what order I’ll do it once I get home, things to do with my fiancee on our 1 day off together a month, which of the dogs needs a bath this particular week.
Sometimes I imagine myself as a fabulous singer… alas it is only a dream. I am a really bad singer. Then again there are a few of them who have managed to become very successful despite their lack of talent. Drat…if only I had had this thought 30 years ago!
The men in my past. I try to find out how their lives turned out. There are still a few I haven’t found. It kind of puts a finishing touch on my loss of people I cared about.
Lately it’s been about Maxwell and Fran kissing on The Nanny.
What kind of cheese I’m going to get at Trader Joe’s to put in my mac and cheese recipe (that I haven’t already tried)
Whether my cat is sleeping on my bed or sunning himself in the hallway (I’m house sitting right now so I’m not at home to see him)
Snow, pine trees, pine cones, ice skating and anything else that has to do with winter wonderlands.
Potential camping with my Dad and brother and nephew, when summer comes around
Trying to figure out how I could try out that sex position that was recently discussed on Fluther so that I won’t be suffocated to death
Thinking about whether Alan Rickman has a new movie coming out anytime soon, and thinking that I would love to see him as a symphony conductor (in slow motion) with his hair flying and his tuxedo tails flying and this amazing piece of music playing. It would be some type of romantic murder mystery, by the way
And as always, thinking about the next big adventure.
Chuck Norris doesn’t daydream, daydreams dream about Chuck Norris.
