It seems to mark them read but still allow you to follow.

I just noticed that GAs and GQs are showing up in the community feed again, too. Yay!

I’m pretty sure my awards didn’t update. I didn’t receive any new notices and my earned awards list looks the same.

Unless I simply haven’t earned anything new since the system went kaflooey.
