Would anyone else like to see a spell-check function on Fluther [more than just highlighting the problem word] just clicking on the option to replace the word?

This would speed up editing Qs and As for many of us clumsy-fingered ones.
But would it slow down Fluther due to the processing time?
Is it even possible? Maybe sort of like Google.

Do you use a browser with a spell-checker? That usually does it for me.

I do have a spell check option, and right click to get a list of suggestions. It comes with Firefox. And thank goodness for it!

@janbb I use firefox. It underlines but does not offer plug-in suggestions [actually I thought Fluther was doing that].
@Dutchess_III is it an add-on?

No….I don’t think so. I’m trying to remember. It may be something you have to activate, maybe, but it’s just part of Firefox.
So when you hover your cursor over the misspelled word and right click you don’t see a drop down list?

Huh – the spell-checker that’s built into Firefox does suggest words when you right-click. I never knew that. So it’s definitely not an add-on, nor is it something that you specifically have to activate, because I had no idea about the suggestion feature until now.

Fluther definitely does not have a spell-checker built in (because it would bog the site down).

When the Firefox spell-checker underlines the word, just place your cursor on the word and right click for suggestions. Click on the one you want, and it will replace it.

@Seelix Also, you know, when you start posting a question here it doesn’t automatically check the spelling in the question. You have to right click and manually chose “Check spelling.” It doesn’t auto check in the tags, either.

Google Chrome does the same thing.

Firefox does it when you right click? I’ll have to try that! I thought it was just telling me to try again. Hey, yeah, it works! Thanks, @Seelix!

Thank you all for helping me discover Firefox goodies!
