Do you know of any method or product of removing or minimizing pain during tattoos?

Take some lortabs or shoot some heroin before a tat. its going to hurt.
Dealing with the pain is gods way preventing tramp stamps.
A prescription level topical lidocaine product will help (although I’m old school, and think if you can’t take the pain, don’t get the tat).
@syz How do I get my hands on this Rx lidocaine, just to have? Because OTC lidocaine does jack shit for me.
Sort of by definition, you have to get it from your doctor. It has its risks

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but pain is the price of a tattoo. Getting inked hurts and there isn’t much that can be done about it. Some shops offer a topical anesthetic to reduce pain but the effects are minimal at best. And no legitimate tattoo shop will work on you if you have been drinking or appear to be under the influence of any other substances either.
There ARE things you can do to make the experience more tolerable though. Drink plenty of water before hand and try to steer clear of caffeinated beverages. Jumpy is not a state of mind to be in when getting inked.
Don’t do it on an empty stomach. Make sure you eat something substantial 3–4 hours before getting any work done so your endorphins have something to work off of. And you might want to have some hard candy on hand just in case they wear down during your appointment. Remember to keep breathing during the process and feel free to ask the artist to give you a moment if things get too intense.
Marijuana. Still will hurt, but at least you will be buzzed.
Mine are fairly small, so I didn’t take anything for the pain. Yeah, they hurt a bit but not killer. I sent this to Katawagrey who has some fairly big work going on.
There isn’t much you can do. The topical spray does not do much. It is just best to bear it.
I’m with the others. If you can’t take the pain, don’t get the work done. The pain is part of the experience, and personally, I find it addictive. Good thing I’m broke, or I’d be completely covered.
