Are online portfolios "non-commercial"?

I want to use some things on the internet that I have found that are free for “non-commercial use”. I’m not sure if my online portfolio qualifies as non-commercial or not. I’m not trying to sell anything directly on my website but I will be linking to things like my .99 cent Android app. So am I free to use this non-commercial stuff or not?
