What has happened to the chat rooms here?

I think it left with Twitter. You can go there and do 160 characters.

Chat rooms? OOoooh! Those things, almost forgot about them.

I have a theory that the relaxing of question guidelines made them obsolete. Now anything that pops into anyone’s mind is chatted about on questions in the social section.

Just my thoughts. I do miss the lively banter.

I agree with @Dog. If you can basically have chats on a thread in Social, what’s the need for a chat room?

I’ve tried a few times, but with some of our main users leaving they are completely dead. We should just close them untill people start asking for them again.

@queenie It’s not that people walk out on you, it’s that sometimes people leave but it doesn’t show until someone else joins.

Yeah man everytime I go in there, it’s all dead and deserted. That sucks.

How can we create a campaign to entice jellies to the chat rooms? Sometimes I want to leave the questions aside and just ‘shoot the shit’ ‘talk crap’ ‘waffle on’ in the chat room with folks that happen to be about. C’mon creative types, how do we keep the rooms full of the jelly goodness?
