I need a few ideas for my art project with the theme “Transformation” it could be transformation of texture, color, etc. And I need 2–4 artists who has artwork related to transformation. One of my ideas was a black and white city, with a shooting star which brings color to the city

I don’t have any suggestions for you, but I suggest you look up Salvador Dali if you aren’t familiar with him. A lot of his works dealt with the theme of transformation.
Claude Monet was known for doing series’s of paintings of the same subject under different conditions. For example, check out his haystacks I see that as a transformation of the object as well as the environment around the object
Another artist famous for transformation is Andy Warhol.
I know this may not help much at all but I once heard in a movie “Ruined is the road to transformation”, so think of something broken or lost or something.
Jasper Johns would be another artist known for transformation.
There are different ways of defining transformation, as in the change from A to B, or transformation in the form of using a medium or message in a different way than intended to convey a different meaning (such as using different types of plastic waste and painting over it to make an image of the ocean) or in terms of metamorphosis, as in a drawing where you see an image transform from person to animal. Make sure you understand the assignment.
Trees and sprawl condos.. Just a forest by a sprawl zone with clear cuts on another hill before building. Best transformation piece I could think, off the top of my head. Good luck.
Or if you’ve seen Rango yet, desert into Las Vegas… but since Rango, not so original, eh?
M.C. Escher played with the concept of transformation a lot in his work.

After reading the question but before reading your supplementary info, I was thinking of a picture drawn in pencil with a portion done in watercolor or oil. Starting the color either in the center or from a corner with the color slowly fading into the original pencil drawing. So part of the picture is only pencil, full color and part a combination of the two.
Does it have to be paintings and such or can it be musical as well?
I see a collage with some kinds of images on one end perfusing to some other thingies on the other end. ...but right now here the afternoon sun is coming through the windows and all sorts of images seem possible !
@BarnacleBill It would be interesting to actually do a visual frame-by-frame of an A turning into a B.
@nat_xD I think your idea is a great one. Get to it!
