If a question is edited and then you choose to abandon it, would it still count toward your allotment of 3 questions per day?

In my experience, yes. You are still limited to 3 questions each day whether those questions ultimately make past the rules or not.
Yes! and it doesn’t seem fair, does it.
Yes, it happened to me a couple of times. So annoying!
It does. It helps to ensure that people don’t just ask a slew of nonsense (or spam) questions, with the idea that they can still ask more.
