HELP ME!! D: I’m slipping in my college classes. I have to wake up at 7am but I sleep at 4am :( Sometimes I do all nighters and i’ve been gaining weight. You burn calories in your sleep but if I don’t start sleeping then nothing will be burned. If I continue like this.. idk. HELPPP :((

It’s good that you recognize that there is a problem. If your college has a counseling or guidance center, go talk to someone about learning better organizational and study habits so you are studying in advance of class and not having to pull all-nighters. Reduce your caffeine and soft drink intake; that can mess with your sleep cycle.
The counselling is a great idea as @BarnacleBill suggested another great tip if you are experiencing stress which this sounds like is exercise did you ever think of going for a run or getting a little exercise either in the evening it will help you clear your head. I know you are busy trying to get all this information in your head but you also need to take a little time to get a little exercise. I 15 min or 20 min run or walk will do wonders for you and it will also help you sleep. It will also be great for helping you loose weight as well that also seems to be a worry you are now having.
Two cookies and a glass of milk at about 1030 pm, will do the trick.
Old wives tale that works.
Try to get in the habit of eating regularly and setting aside regular hours for sleeping.
Go to the drugstore and pick up some Calms Forte. Take that about a half hour before bed. It’s completely herbal.
Good luck.
Sometimes it is helpful, when lying in bed, to try to clear your mind of thoughts, and simply focus on your breathing (the latter can aid in accomplishing the former). Hope this helps.
You don’t burn a lot of calories in your sleep so don’t worry about that. You really need to get to sleep someway, try benedryl if calm forte doesn’t work.
You didn’t make clear what time you go to bed – at 4:00 a.m.? And get up at 7:00 a.m.? Are you trying to kill yourself? I know that college is demanding, but no degree is worth your health. No one can fall asleep instantly unless you want to do the “Michael Jackson” and be anaesthetized. Your body needs time to relax and you mind needs to unwind. With that in mind, do some relaxation exercises before bed. I have heard that L-tryptophan pills help and are perfectly natural and safe. And for heaven’s sake, allow yourself at least 6 and ideally 8 hours to sleep.
Don’t do anything that stimulates your mind before you go to bed. I’m talking about giving yourself 30 to 45 minutes of just relaxation before bed. TV may be relaxing, in theory; however, the lights and dialogue continually stimulate your brain. Reading can do the same, as well.
It’s important to try to establish some sort of routine.
you should try drinking hot chocolate or something warm right before you go to bed. that might help.
Don’t drink caffeinated beverages and lay off tobacco and alcohol and other drugs. Eat a healthy diet (as outlined on the National Institute of health website). And very importantly try to get in the daily physical exercise that your body needs in order to maintain good health.
once you start convincing yourself more and more each day that you have a problem, it can get worse. My advice is, try to forget about it. Have a few nights in, watch a movie, relax do some studying, put your mind at ease and you may start to get your healthy sleeping patterns back.
hope this helps
