I’m really just wondering, my friend is going to get one and shes wants to know exactly what goes on. We are both panicing, she doesnt do well with pain. We currently are going to do it with planned parenthood and she just wants to know if there are shots in the uterus or anywhere else or if they have to dialate, and does that hurt? Or if you can hear the suction. Please answer right away and stay ON topic.

Planned Parenthood is really good about answering a lot of questions. I know they will talk to her before the procedure. (At least they used to, I went with a friend years ago.)
I’ve never had it done, but I know she paid extra for more sedation, I recall her having some pain, after the procedure. Cramping is what I recall.
Also, Planned Parenthood has a lot of answers to questions about abortion, online.
I wish her the best.
I don’t recall any shots, or pain during the procedure (though there is usually cramping after). I could hear the equipment, and if you think that will bother you, you might want to listen to music or wear earplugs.
i really think im just going to go with the pill, it seem terrible, but seeing to how my visit in today was i cant deal with anymore in clinic visits or shots, and boy there were shots, blood draw today and i need one friday and a cervix shot to numb it if i go along with the in clinic procedure.
