this might be one of the greatest things ever…a religion satirizing religion…this is such a glorious contradiction…it’s just fantastic!
I love the entire concept of His Noodliness.
Didn’t this originate out of a gag on South Park..?
Ah well, it still makes more sense than Scientology.
I’ve heard of this…is it for real? I know you posted a link, but can I have more of an easier summary of what their beliefs/standards really are? I’ve seen their logo—it looks like a crab.
ah, Pastafarianism ! now there’s something you can put some faith in. All it’s claims can be demonstrated and experienced.
@ddude1116 not unprecedented. Noted science fiction writer L Ron Hubbard wrote the best way to get rich is to start a religion and a few years later founded Scientology. ... I suppose that’s not really satire but parody… not real clear on that in this case
It’s a joke that has probably gone too far, but I enjoy the joke.
I like it as a parody of religion. It’s a good way to hold a mirror up in front of a religious person. However, the fact that anyone takes it seriously is ridiculous.
A philosophical thought experiment writ large. Pure genius.
I personally rather worship the celestial teapot, but everybody needs to have a little spaghetti and meatballs in their life… So, my opinion of Pastafarianism is positive.
I have been touched by his noodly appendenge.
About as much truth to it as any other religion.
We could probably create one with Fluther.
I particularly like the pirates . . .
LOL just wanted to share I stumbled upon this. fsm.org is a Scientology site !!! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahhh etc just about lost my coffee through my nose
Hey, I’m a Christian, and I think it’s funny too! Just goes to show that not all Christians/religious people are without a sense of humor.
I love how they refer to him as “his noodliness”. “Here you can see that someone has engraved in this rock an image of His Noodliness”.
