Skype Question: Where on earth is the Calling link? (Details)

Download skype onto your computer.

I did download Skype…...I have had Skype for a few years….I use it, I just don’t use it often and there is no clear link on the opening page (Accounts…with all the options you can purchase) to get to the Skype calling function.

I hope someone can answer this. Thanks.

Right beside the conversation button at the top there is a call menu. Also, are you sure you have skype credit on the account?

It also has “call phones” right beside the “add a contact” button.

What I am saying is this: When I sign into Skype, I am not taken to the call menu page/or the chat page. I am taken to another page completely…the sign in takes me to the account page with no link to the conversation page.

You don’t need credit to talk Skype to Skype…or has that changed??

Not to talk from skype to skype.

HAve you pressed the home button? It’s usually there on each page, or post a screenshit of what screen you have.

@DarlingRhadamanthus : Do you get a help button? If you do, you could try checking the help menu. Simply type in “how to make a call” in the help search window, assuming you can find help. This is really a difficult question, because we can’t see what you’re dealing with.

When you get into the Skype chat/phone page….would you email me the http link that appears? Maybe that would help? Or would that take me to _your_page?

When I open Skype it is not in my Internet browser (like Explorer or Chrome or Safari). It opens its own window completely separate from everything else, so it doesn’t have any kind of link.

Here’s an idea: open Skype without your Internet browser on. See what happens.

…or…

Uninstall it and then install it again. Maybe?

(A thought just occurred to me. Where are you accessing Skype from? You should be able to go to the little round (if you’re using Vista or Windows 7) button in the very lower left corner and click it. From the “All Programs” link you should see Skype. Click there and see what happens.)

Thank you everyone….finally uninstalled and installed it again. Now it seems to be working…I found the click space to get in, etc. Thank you again!
