What other shows are like Death Note?

I loved Death Note and am looking for more like it.

But I’m hoping to expand the list beyond just anime. Basically what I’m looking for is any show/movie/manga/comic/anything where you have a small number of brilliant/super powerful people competing against each other.

For example, I even count the beginning of Hikaru No Go in this category because it has the spirit of the awesome go player versus the current champion early on (though I got tired of it when it focused on the kid).
