Has anyone tried Female Viagra (Sildenafil)?

From the news I’ve read, we don’t benifit much from it. All it does is increase blood flow and we don’t need that much. I think it’s a scam for sure and most likely a sugar pill.

What do you mean female viagra? Sildenafil is the generic name for Viagra, ie male viagra. Sexually it has little effect on people who don’t suffer from erectile dysfunction.

The usual drug refered to as “female viagra” is Intrinsa which is basically a testosterone patch. There’s also an antidepressant that does wonders for female libido (but amusingly little for depression) but I can tremember the name off the top of my head.

If you google Female Viagra you will get hits that name two drugs – Sildenafil Citrate – sold in Canada as Viagra or Female Viagra (do not know if there is a dose difference) or Flibanserin – med studied and not yet approved in US. I have no interest in Flibanserin since it is an antidepressant like med.It acts on the brain chemistry, needs to be taken for four months to have an effect and most of all has many side effects.
I am interested in trying Sildenafil since it acts by increasing the intensity of the blood flow and after all female and male organs are both made of the same kind of erectile tissue. I am however hesitant to give my credit card number to the Canadian online drug sellers since I know nothing about their credibility.

I can’t cite sources but I’ve read articles in the not-too-distant-past that have stated that the medications that are so-called female viagra don’t work. Female arousal is much different from male arousal as much of it involves our minds.

I wouldn’t trust an on-line pharmacy for anything.
