I was sick just about three months ago with the flu. Got a bad cough that hasn’t left me up to now although I have been taking different cough medicines. Now I have a bad head cold and I seem to be getting back the flu. I have a loss of apatite and I have lost a lot of weight. What seems to be the problem?

I think you’d get the best answer by visiting your doctor. You could just have a weak immune system, but this could be caused by other health problems too; for example I have anaemia and IBS, and they’ve both weakened my immune system, so I catch nearly everything that’s going round! I strongly recommend visiting your doctor; they’ll be able to give you the best answer as well as a solution to your problem. I hope you feel better soon!
Do you eat healthy? That contributes in a big way.
@flo Honestly I dont think so…...
I usually eat fast food because I am always on the go.
@Eggie I think we found the culprit. Start eating free range/grass fed meat and eggs, lots of fresh, preferably organic fruits and veggies, a bit of grass fed dairy, and limited amounts of grains.
@Eggie there is your answer then. Just try it is insane how much it helps.
@flo I seriously didnt realize how much that mattered
Oh, @Eggie , not fast food! You need vegetables and fruit.
They are very quick and on-the-go. You can just eat an apple or peel some carrots and eat them on the run.
You can also get some echinachea to help your immune system. Do not take every day though! Only when you are having symptoms of sickness. Also, Emergen-C.
but hey…..a potato pie is good for you!!! A meatball sandwich or a hot dog is good for you too
@Eggie I guess you are pulling our legs.
How do I get better fast?
I had a bad cold followed by the flu and then I dwindled being ill for a few weeks after that. I started eating 3 bananas and a cup of soy yogurt (with active cultures) every day. I got better in less than 4 days.
Seems to me its time to fight back…...
I kow this sounds weird but a few years back in December I became sick with what I thought was a cold that wouldn’t go away which lead to sinus infection after sinus infection and it also set off asthma which at first they thought was just bronchitis. It all turned out all to be allergies because they were doing construction at work and it stirred up something that I was allergic to. I would have your doctor check to see if you have allergies which much times feel like you are sick when you really are not. A good antihistimine ususally does well, my doctor ended up putting me on the prescription Lohist D which is a combination of 2 allergy medications becasue mine were so bad.
