What the name of this kids story? (details)
All I remember was that one of the characters drank some sort of medicine, and then her (his?) friends deliberately glued all the furniture to the ceiling to confuse her when she woke up, possibly to teach her a story.
I know it was created before ‘91, and that I understood it when I was 3 or 4.

The only book I can think of is, The Twits. Scroll down a bit & there is a section titled, Turning the Twits Upside-Down. Which is about glueing the furniture to the ceiling.

@rpm_pseud0name No, that’s definitely way more graphic than I remember. This was more of the sticky-sweet vibe you get from Strawberry Shortcake.
Do you remember any of the characters names or about what year this was published?
That sounds like The Twits by Roald Dahl. The monkeys glue their owner’s belongings onto the roof, but I don’t think there is anything about a magic potion. That could be another one of Roald Dahl’s books: The Witches. In this one, the witches turn children into rats by giving them magic candy…
@SpatzieLover No. I do remember listening to it on a cassette, not reading it from a book, though.
