When's the best time to learn and start lucid dreaming?

Asked by Vincent_Lloyd (3007points) April 17th, 2011

Like the title says, when is the best time? During breaks? I wanna be able to enjoy them for awhile till I wake from my slumber…But not during school days…Or when I have school?

There are two ways Ive heard are really good. The one that I tried and had success with was every time I walked through a door was touching the frame and asking myself “Am I dreaming?” and really think about it. The answer will obviously be no. But then you get into such a pattern of doing this that you start doing it in dreams. And soon youll see your answering yes, yes I am dreaming. And the lucidity begins.

Adversely you can write a letter or something on your hand and every time you notice it, ask yourself that same question above.

The hardest part IMO is when you finally start lucid dreaming the first couple times, not getting too exicted. Like I would be like YES HOLY SHIT IM DREAMIN RIGHT NOW!! and that would wake me up lol

never; I hear it’s really bad for you. just take leonardo dicaprio’s wife in “Inception” as an example
: but then yet….everyone seems to find a downside to everything. i.e.: what doesn’t give you cancer?

you’re using a movie to support your claim that its bad for you…..

I keep dozing off at my desk. Really interesting stuff starts happening and then I waken, and I lose what what happening. I have a sense of inhabiting two worlds at once.
