How old do you feel?

I would guess everyone has some sort of idea regarding what each age, or decade, is supposed to be like. What it is to be in your 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, and so on. Maybe we decide those things when we are younger.
I was wondering how old you feel, and how old you are (more or less) and if this time in your life is very different than you imagined regarding your age. not necessarily accomplishments, although it can be, but more of a feeling.
Sometimes I am around other people who are my age, and I feel younger than them, or older. It sometimes has to with how they look, which as I write that amazes me I let an outward appearance influence such a thing. Sometimes I am around people older than me who seem so free in their mind, and I feel old.

I am definitely young at heart and always have been regardless of what has happened in my life. :))
I feel about 25–26, which is about how old I look as well. I’m in my early 40s.
I never really thought about what sort of person I’d be at my current age, so I don’t have any frame of reference to say I expected this or that in my life by now. It’s weird to think of friends +/- 5 years on either side with homes, families, babies, divorces, upper management positions, etc. I’ve had more than a couple of people say to me that I am “behind,” but that can’t be. I’m where I’m supposed to be.
I don’t think everyone wasn’t meant to live that linear university-job-married-kids-promotion-house-cars-retire life, thought I’d like to be married in the next few years. I’m definitely a late bloomer, so I’m not too worried about it.
I feel like I’m in my mid twenties. My mum always goes on about how I act older than my age.
I’m currently 16 though and will be 17 soon.
I feel like I’m in my 30s. I am a couple of decades older than that.
I would say 40’s, I guess. I’m still healthy, still look good, and still have energy. Not as much energy as when I was in my 30’s, but no more feeble than when I was in my 40’s, so I guess I am stuck in the 40’s unless my health takes a turn.
I feel exactly like my age 9¾ Oh I thought you meant mental age!
I have always felt very young at heart. Now I still feel like I’m in my thirties but my knees keep reminding me that’s no longer the case.
Ever since all the cartilage leaked out of them, they just don’t have the same stamina and functionality.
(Yes, I am aware it didn’t literally leak out. But it’s all gone nonetheless.)
I feel young, but, the body is excelerating in it’s aging process in the menopause zone.
Just in the last two years between 49 and 51, I am noticing my shape changing, my waist is less defined, more aches and pains, really NEED good sleep every night, and my allergies are getting worse for some bizarre reason. haha
The biggest change is reaching the zero tolerance level for others bullshit and emotional baggage.
If you are 50 years old and still acting like a 5 year old emotionally, well…so sorry, but…don’t let the door hit you in the ass on your way out! lololol
I’m 28 years old, It feels like I’m 30 with a hint of teenager in me. I have always admired teenagers ability to totally disregard any kind of authority, so I try to keep that part of my personality as I age.
Currently I’m 34, feeling like I’m ancient. i can’t put a number on it…..just ancient. :/
Physically, the only changes is that my fingers ache sometimes (arthritis) and I have a bit of a muffin-top. I don’t feel like exercising, but get me to Disneyland and I seem to be able to walk 100 miles with no problem. Mentally, I am the same adult as I have always been since becoming an adult, just have more life experiences to draw on.
I don’t feel like 40.
I feel like 39.95 plus shipping and handling.
15 when I’m confused about life
89 when my body doesn’t cooperate with me
Mid-20s when I’m having a good time with my SO
I’m 22.
I was feeling pretty good about myself this morning, until my wife approached me this morning and said, “honey, you would look great, if only you did not have that roadmap on your face”. I held my breath and did not say a word. Her time is coming for a facelift and I am ready!”
My body feels my age, or at least older that I feel, mentally. No, that’s not quite right. I feel like I am both in my 50s and in my….. youngers at the same time.I guess it’s my outlook on life that is young. Body and mind are in the age of wisdom.
@wundayatta
reminds me of one of my fav. quoates…
” What we lose in form, we gain in wisdom.”
I swing back and forth between 15 and 100.
I’m actually 21.
I went on a dating site my friend talked me into. Now, I’m overweight, crikety from arthritis, some definite wrinkles and lots of grey hair. But I see the pictures of perfectly good looking men my age or a little older and back off- feeling I’m too young for them! Some days when the pills aren’t working or I forget my B12, I feel ancient, too.
I’ve been thinking about this lately. I am 27 and I suppose I feel like I’m 25.
I’ve decided that I’m staying 27 forever. It was a good year.
I feel like I’m 21, but I’m only 18!
I’m 44 now but I don’t feel any different now (except for a few creaky joints) than I did when I was in my 20s.
25. Been told that I look like I’m in my mid-to-late 20’s. I’m 38.
I’ve been feeling about 50 years old for the last 20 years. I’m 68.
I am 55 but I feel like I am in my early 40’s. Sadly, in the last two years, my body has aged, so that keeping off weight and maintaining my energy has lagged.
@Coloma and I must be having the same issues
It varies. Sometimes I feel and act like a 12 year old. Somtimes, I feel quite a bit older.
I’m 25.
I feel thirty, look fifty plus, actually 43, getting a little stiff jointed though…….. :-/
I’m 60 and feel like I’m 40 and I look >70.
It varies from day to day.
But on the other hand…how does an age feel.
I feel about 50.
I’m really 39.
