What's the best glucometer/glucose meter for diabetic cats?

I’m looking to purchase a human glucose meter….but for my cat. Anyone have experience with feline diabetes? Every time I go to Rite Aid/CVS/Target I’m overwhelmed with the options! I’d like to get a reader with some test strips for under $100. Any advice is much appreciated!

Just go for the cheapest model you can find.

Why not ask your vet or if there’s a vet school in the area, ask them?

If there’s a particular model which is preferred for any reason, they would likely know.
