I think that’s really weird. What if you’re “in the moment” and you’re fondling someone and they come to the realization that it’s not your hand? Other than that, if it makes someone’s life better, go for it.
The wonders of modern medicine! The more the hand is working, the more it becomes your own hand. @KatetheGreat Call me old-fashioned, but if one is “in the moment” I would hope the discussion of the hand would have taken place and would have been accepted.
I think it is great. Better my hands are being used by someone than rotting in a box in the ground when I am dead.
That goes for the rest of my parts as well.
Incredible. This is beautiful. Medicine can’t solve everything, but it’s getting better every day.
Luke Skywalker got a hand transplant, so a galaxy long ago and far, far away is a lot closer than we think. Why do we not have hover-pods and C-3P0s yet? If we can transplant a hand we could at least get some laser guns up in this biatch. >:(
Really, I think it’s awesome. Soon we’ll be transplanting even more challenging things and significantly helping people.
Fabulous. The science is moving so fast, it’s incredibly hopeful. Check out this TED Talk about the future of organ transplants (they use a freaking printer to make a kidney from your own cells. No rejection! Also, this one on regenerating body parts from stem cells. It’s fascinating stuff.
I think they’re really quite handy.
