General Question

Was the Emperor Bajazeth in the play Tamburlaine the Great by Christopher Marlowe a real historical figure?
I’m having trouble finding evidence of his existence. All the searches I run bring up only the play. Is this because he’s only a literary character? Does anyone know how much of Tamburlaine is based on events that actually occurred?
