Place equivalent of the word "anachronism"?

Asked by MisterBlueSky85 (892points) April 21st, 2008

If an anachronism is something from the wrong time, what’s something from the wrong place (i.e., a kangaroo in Saudi Arabia)?

Anatopoism? Anatopism? (This is what it should be, but I don’t think these are words.)
Just a wild guess.. but “chrono” is Greek for “time” and “topo” is Greek for “place” so I just switched them.

Edit: I just googled it and anatopism is the actual word. I didn’t even know it was a word.

Perhaps “anatopism?” You get rid of the second “o” in “chrono”, so you’d probably do it in “topo” too.

Anyone else? This is kinda fun.

Edit: Hey, we did it!

Cave men with wheels. I don’t think cave men actually invented wheels.
