Why use Disqus?

What is the big advantage of Disqus over the regular commenting system?

It’s also very useful if you have a personal blog/website (i.e: one that you’ve developed yourself) and you don’t wish to spend time trying to develop a commenting application for it. Instead, you can simply get Discus and you’ll have a brilliant commenting application ready at your disposal.
