What is going to happen with this bill?
Okay, so last year I made a mistake and I ordered this random stretch-marks-erasing cream. I told my mom and she called and we got it cancelled, but I still got the box with the product. Basically, it was one of those “try for 30 days for free”, and I wanted to try it. I didn’t think it would be a scam, but it was.
So now they’re calling me and they’re like “Oh, you have a balance of $138 and you have to pay it.” But I already canceled the account right after I made the order, and when I tried to send the box back it got sent back to my house.
I don’t really know what to do – I can’t afford to pay the money anyway.
Can they send repossession men on me or something? What can I do?

no one is going to bother for $138. As you canceled and they sent it anyway, you are not libel. and since it was 30days free, you owe nothing. I would just ignore them, it they continue report them to the BBB and police for harassment.
@DrBill : Yeah, but it was one of those offers where you tried it and then if you didn’t cancel you had to pay. Apparently it didn’t go through, and I don’t really have any proof that I called…
Do you have a witness to the call? That should be enough.
With the cost of collection, they’re not going to do very much for a bill this low.
Better Business Bureau are the people you need to be talking to. Make a report and let them hash it out with the company. When they call back, tell them you’re making a report with your local office. They might never call back.
And if they still call after contacting the BBB, let your local State’s Attorney’s office or consumer protection agency deal with it, whichever handles this in your home state.
