I used the air compressor on it to blow out the water but nothing is happening. What else can I do?

Don’t turn it on, but open it up as much as you can, including battery compartment, and stick it in a bag or a bowl of rice to absorb all the moisture.

A hair dryer on low setting held a distance away from the player. Don’t get it warm but blow air over it. Heat would probably damage it.
I really want to know how you dropped it in. At least it wasn’t the dog.

@zenvelo-Will do.Thanks.
@Adirondackwannabe – I had it on my belt and it popped off at the wrong time.I loved that thing. It had some good tunes on it.:(

Follow @zenvelo‘s advice, but don’t turn it on for 3–4 days, and do just a bowl of rice or out in the open (a bag can keep it moist). Just let it be. Turning it on too soon can short it out. Then, after a few days, it should be good to go. I myself have dropped many a phone in the toilet, and letting it air out saved it each time.

Man, that is one finicky toilet, I think. I can’t understand why “needless to say, it’s not working”. I presume that you took out the mp3 player, but I never heard of anyone having to blow out a toilet with compressed air. (Men typically have another method of accomplishing nearly the same thing.)

Try using a blow dryer in places where water can get in. I did that for my cell phone and it worked! Good Luck!

Aww, I say that as I attempt to stifle a laugh by the way…..just being honest.
I dropped my phone down the crapper a couple of years ago & when I fished the bugger out I just got angry with it. Threw it on the floor & stamped on it, several times. Obviously this hastened it’s demise, but it felt soooo good XD Sorry I can’t offer any help though :¬)

Love the tags, by the way.

@ucme—I dropped the phone in a bucket of paint too…that was fun…:)
@WasCy Thanks….I blew out the MP3 with the air.:)

Well then, just blame my poor first answer on ambiguous wording in the question.

Okay. And just for the record (harking back to your question of last week regarding drinking vessels), I’ll drink from your shoes, but not from your mp3 player or your toilet. In case the topic ever arises again.

If you stick it in a bag of regular rice, it will drain out the water and you might be able to use it again.

Ooops, I didn’t see what @zenvelo said.

Funny as hell tags (topics)

I’m here to second (or third or fourth) the advice to set it in a bowl of rice for several days. Worked for my wife’s iphone two years ago after a full-cycle ride in the washing machine, and it’s still going strong.

I feel slightly bad now, lots of good/helpful suggestions & I just laughed. I feel I should be punished in some small way…....
