Would I get in trouble if I brought a red plastic cup to school?
Tomorrow’s spirit day is “College Day”.
I thought it would be comical if I brought a red plastic cup to school that day. Do you think I would get in trouble?

It’s a plastic cup, not a sniper rifle.
Yes, you’ll be perfectly fine. Some teachers might not think it’s funny, but they can’t do anything about it.
Well, if it’s just a cup.. no.
Forgive my ignorance. Will someone enlighten us that are out of the loop as to why a red cup might be controversial?
@Pied_Pfeffer The notorious red solo cup is the symbol of college. It symbolizes the wonderful parties, getting hammered, and wasting away into adult years.
Because a lot of people use them to contain alcohol at keggers and other parties. Still more people used them to contain things like sweet tea at picnics and family reunions. Assigning a meaning to something that can very often be innocuous is… well… as mature as the college kids out killing brain cells.
Scenario #1 I’m walking down the hall with said cup in my hands. Perhaps it is full of water, i don’t know. A teacher that hate’s their job walks up to me and gives me a hard time, is there a possibility that i could get busted for something so petty?
Relax, man, at most they’ll take a sip of it. And stress that you’ll dehydrate if they confiscate it, if they try to, otherwise just be cool.
Hahaha! I appreciate the advice, DUDE.
I think so long as you don’t in any way pretend it’s a gun, you’ll be fine.
@KatetheGreat and @klutzaroo Thanks for the explanation.
Unless there is some crazy rule against it, you should be fine. Both of my sisters are teachers, and trust me, they have bigger concerns about what their students are dealing with than one that totes a red cup around on a spirit day, despite what it represents.
Possibly. Some schools don’t allow water bottles around here…kids were bringing in vodka ;)
Those red cups have been around for as long as I can remember, and that’s a long time now! lol
Chico State circa 1976 And a whole lot more was going on back then than just keg parties. hahaha
