Get Find My iPhone from iTunes.
you are entitled to free phone support for two years at 1–800-
MY IPHONE.
I’ve learned so much from utilizing this service. It really is free and they don’t keep you hanging on forever like some other companies. Consumer Reports has consistently rated Apple as number one for customer support for a reason.
I’ve had the best results from asking for a “product specialist” rather than the frontline phone answerers. They are very knowledgeable.
The go-to solution for most weird probls you encounter with your phone is what’s called a “reset” or “hard reset” by some. This clears out all sorts of random bits of code and temp. files jamming up the works.
Occasionally you may need to combine it with a restart for those times when iTunes insists it wants you to sync with it and you don’t particularly want to.
Learn these two procedures and they will solve 99% of problems with your phone.
I usually do at least one hard reset a day and frequently more. Each time I download any Apps, I do this. Also, if you tend to do a lot of web browsing, resets are necessary from time to time. If you ever find pages loading slowly or links not clicking thru, it’s time for a reset.
Once I figured this out, my phone was trouble free for the last 2/12 years solid.
Take it back to the store for a refund and buy an Android phone.

I am not in the States – I am in the Middle East – I would like personal tips . Stuff you like and think I might from your experience.
