Using wordpress, does a response to a comment automatically send an email to the commenter?

And, if not, is it considered good form to alert them, or just let them check back to your blog? Is there any widget that makes this happen?

No, but you can get plugins to do this for you. Hold on a moment and I’ll dig one up.

Yeah, it’s too bad Wordpress.com doesn’t allow for this – I mostly manually email commenters when I need to reply to them. Unfortunately (well, I like it, but it’s so much work), this happens quite often…
