Now that they have apparently gotten rid of Osama do you think it’s safe to fly?
I have to fly to LA and I’m freaking worried now – do you think there will be a swift retaliation, this world of ours is going insane.

You’ll be fine.
I’m thinking since they are “Muslim” that it will be considered a “martyr’s death”, due to his huge service to Al Qaeda and they will celebrate in his honor. Just be wary of your surroundings, report any suspicious behavior, and do everything you’re told. They will be even more secure than they are right now, so you’ll be safe.
Try not to worry. There probably is some chance of retailiation, but I doubt it will happen this fast. Security is already stepped up in the airports it seems. A friend just flew and she said there were all sorts of extra security measures going on, she thought it was odd, now she knows why.

As safe as it ever has been.
An airport or plane may be one of the safest places to be if there is retaliation. I would imagine, with the extreme air travel security measures, any terrorist action will come in an unexpected place.
@noelleptc this is the first time i’ve heard of sleeper cells, but of course it makes complete sense, I don’t know how I feel about this all to be honest, but the one thing I really dislike is the way that fear eats into your logic…. we are controlled by fear so easily and now it’s happening again… I hate to sound like a hippie, but why on earth can’t we all just live in peace, is it really that hard to do so?
A little less than it was yesterday. There will definitely be those who will seek revenge. The good news is, we will bag most if not all of them and they will be out of the terrorism business just like their boss. The bad news is there’s always the slim chance on will succeed. Don’t worry too much, though. We’re already on heightened alert. We were before the public announcement was made. Them acting in haste works to our security forces’ advantage.
Safer that it would be to cross a street in a moderately busy neigborhood.
For me, it has always been secure…
I think it is. But you never know. I think it’s always better to stay alert.
