Only one? The more I have learned about George Washington, the more impressed I am. He was a dynamic leader, brave, intelligent, and a deep believer in freedom. He had an intense sense of duty, more so than for his own fortune.

Gandhi. He inspired his country to throw off the horrible rule of the British in a non-violent way.

Theodore Roosevelt.

Three bad guys stole his boat, once, while he was busy being a cowboy in North Dakota, so he captured them and held them at gunpoint for almost two days while reading Leo Tolstoy to stay awake until he could turn them over to the law.

When the Panama Canal was being constructed, Theodore hopped in a steam shovel and helped the workers dig.

He gave a 90 minute speech…. while bleeding from a gunshot wound. He opened the speech by announcing “Ladies and gentlemen, I don’t know whether you fully understand that I have just been shot; but it takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose.”

When TR died, the Vice President Thomas R. Marshall said that “Death had to take Roosevelt sleeping, for if he had been awake, there would have been a fight.”

Fuck Chuck Norris. TR is where it’s at. He’s been my hero for years.

@gailcalled May I ask who Milo is?

@Fiddle_Playing_Creole_Bastard Teddy Roosevelt was one heck of a guy. He knew what the hell he was doing.

@tranquilsea Gahndi was indeed one of the most inspirational men of history. I always wished that I had some of his patience and understanding.

A second vote for Gandhi.
It’s hard to imagine how such a seemingly insignificant individual accomplished all he did.

@KatetheGreat Milo is Gail’s cat. Sometimes he writes here, using Gails name.
I am guessing he wrote his own name here.

Gandhi was racist. Also, he had young girls dance nude for him to test his own celibacy.

@KatetheGreat: Sorry about Milo. I left the keyboard for a few minutes in order to use the toilet, and the great big small egomaniac just had to toot his own horn.

Good luck telling him that.

Adolf Hitler

He has inspired humanity to be vigilant and make sure such evil incarnate does not resurface anymore.

Tecumseh.

And yea, a large portion of people in India consider Gandhi to have been and ineffective collaborator. Baghat Singh was a way cooler guy.
